The TRON office in Beijing was surrounded by police, as the crowd gathered in protest against the Chinese ponzi scheme, which received a name similar to TRON, according to Crypto Authority on Twitter on July 8.
Videos of crowds of people surrounded by police in the office of the TRON, spread throughout Twitter. People seem to come to express their outrage at the local crypto scam, which reportedly led to a loss of $ 30 million and one suicide.
As can be seen from the video, people seem to consider TRON as fraudulent and the crowd is reportedly shouting: “TRON is a scam.”

Although TRON has not provided any official comments on this issue today, the firm’s CEO Justin Sun recently warned investors against fraudulent schemes using TRON names and TRON-owned BitTorrent.
TRON’s CEO response followed reports of a supposedly cryptocurrency fraud scheme known as the Wave Field Super community, which was linked to TRON by local investors, since in China, TRON is reportedly known as Wave Field.
According to the report of the Chinese news agency Nuclear Finance, the Wave Field Super community was launched in January 2019, according to TRON’s “super representative”. While investors say they have asked TRON to clarify the connection between enterprises, Sun reportedly has not commented on this issue since January, the report says.
Based on this, angry people went to the office of TRON to complain about the silence of the company about the fraudulent organization operating under the same name.
Mati Greenspan, a senior analyst at eToro’s social commerce market, said police in TRON’s office came to protect the team from evil investors. Greenspan tweeted:
A lot of misinformation floating around, so to clarify. The Tron office wasn’t raided by the cops. Tron was the one who called the police to protect them from investors who are upset that Tron scammed them.
In the meantime, some online commentators pointed to the reputation of the TRON, announcing a new business partnership between TRON and the local police.
