The Elon Musk project has been given the name Starlink. SpaceX will launch 100 satellites in total. The total costs are around 2.7 billion euros.

Musk’s main objective is to increase the profitability of SpaceX. According to SpaceX there are many advantages, so it is no longer necessary to pull cables everywhere. This is ideal especially for remote areas.

The satellites must eventually orbit at an altitude of 1200 kilometers in orbit. This is considerably lower than most other satellites which are located at 35,000.
