Santander application with Ripple support requires zero operating costs
Crypto money markets are experiencing a down after June 26, 2019. At that time, the total market value had risen to $ 385 billion. At the time of writing, the total market value dropped to $ 294 billion. Similar decreases have been observed in XRP prices. XRP is traded at 31.8 cents currently.
Around Ripple, there are positive developments independent of the price drop in XRP.
Last year, Santander UK, the Spanish banking giant’s UK branch, launched an online payments application called “One Pay FX”. The service is driven by xCurrent, Ripple’s enterprise software solution that enables banks to instantly settle cross-border payments with end-to-end tracking.
Now, Santander UK expanded the scope of this online application and launched the UK–Poland payments corridor.
The application, which is currently only available for mobile phones with IOS operating system, allows Santander customers to transfer money instantly. On July 11, Santander UK released version 1.3.1 of the application. With this new update the UK-Poland payments corridor was enabled and UK customers can now send Zloty (PLN) payments to Poland.
Marcus Treacher, Senior Vice President of Customer Success at Ripple, shared a screenshot of a transfer made with “One Pay FX” to his followers via twitter.

With the updated application, Santander UK customers can transfer up to £ 10,000 to 19 Euro zone countries and Poland. In the screenshot above, we see that there are no transfer fees. In addition, we see that the Sterling-Zloty exchange rate is quite reasonable.
