Nintendo has announced during its presentation at the E3 game fair that Resident Evil 5 and 6 will make their entrance on the Nintendo Switch in the fall. Earlier this year, three older Resident Evil games were already available on the Nintendo console.
Ports from both Resident Evil 5 and 6 will be released in the fall of this year for the Nintendo Switch, with Resident Evil 5 playing locally with the two of them. This title comes out with all previously released dlc: Desperate Escape and Lost in Nightmares. Versus mode is also available, as is the No Mercy mode and the new The Mercenaries United mode. The latter mode is a mini-game for four players combining The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion game modes.
Resident Evil 6 supports co-op up to four players and also comes with additional modes such as Survivor, where up to six players have to compete against each other. Resident Evil 6 also comes out on the Nintendo Switch with all the dlc that were previously released on other platforms.
The two ports follow after publisher and developer Capcom released three other Resident Evil games on the Nintendo Switch in May . These are Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4. These titles were originally released for the GameCube in 2002 and 2005. Resident Evil 5 was originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2009, after which it was the turn of Resident Evil 6 in 2012.
