Opera browser added Bitcoin and Tron to its crypto wallet
Opera, the popular internet browser, added Bitcoin and Tron blockchain support to the crypto wallet application. The Opera company announced this event yesterday through its own blog.
The company’s beta version of the Opera browser for Android (version 53) allows users to send and receive Bitcoin and Tron (both TRX and TRC10 token). It also allows web sites to trade using Bitcoin.
To date, the Opera Crypto Wallet only supported Ethereum blockchain and ERC ether tokens.
Passion for Web 3
In a press release from Opera yesterday, the company stated that by adding Bitcoin and Tron it is preparing to implement the passion for Web 3.
The goal of Web 3 is to make a completely decentralized version of the internet that works with blockchain technology.
The Opera blog article reminds the readers that their company was the first browser to add a crypto wallet in December 2018.
These new features let people make transactions and interact with the blockchain-based internet of the future, also known as Web 3.
Currently, Opera’s Crypto Wallet is only supported on Android 6.0 and higher devices.
