Publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward have announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The new version comes out on October 25 and is a reboot of the series in which a game appeared for the last time in 2011.
According to Inifnity Ward, the new Modern Warfare game is more realistic than previous parts. The game also uses an improved engine that provides a major graphic upgrade. The trailer that Activision has released consists of in-game images made on a PlayStation 4 Pro.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set in the present and the storyline consists of realistic scenarios, but they are not true situations. It is about missions and a story that is inspired by reality. The game is set in the Middle East and in cities such as London.
In the single player mode, the player experiences the story from two sides. Half as a soldier and half as a rebel. The Captain Price character is again present in the game. Activision has not yet published information about the multiplayer part. The publisher will probably do that later.
The game does not get a season pass; there will be free extensions for all players. The developer also promises cross-play support, whereby PC and console gamers can also play together. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version only appears via Blizzards Battle.net launcher.
