Mozilla launches a subscription plan for Firefox in October of this year. It is a premium version with new options such as cloud storage and VPN.
Mozilla comes with a paid version for Firefox in October. It would be a subscription that includes a VPN function and cloud storage. That was confirmed by Mozilla’s CEO, Chris Beard, in a conversation with the German T3N magazine.
Launch in October
The new service was to be launched in the fall of this year. Important: the CEO insists that all functions that are currently free in Firefox will always remain free. The new subscription formula only includes new additions. There would also be a free version of the premium formula, but of course with a number of limitations.
It is not entirely clear what the extra functions would be in addition to VPN and cloud storage. For more details and additions, we will have to wait a little longer. According to the CEO, Mozilla is aiming for a launch on October.
