At this time, litecoin (LTC) , the largest increase in the top 10 cryptocurrencies based on market capitalization. And that’s not surprising, yesterday the Litecoin Foundation announced a new collaboration. Together with Bibox and Ternio it will release a litecoin debit card.
With the debit card, called Litecoin BlockCard, users can easily pay with litecoin in physical stores or online. In addition to litecoin, the altcoins of the two partners are also supported by the payment card; Bibox Token (BIX) and Ternio (TERN).
The companies each have their own role within the collaboration. For example, Bibox will be responsible for exchanging cryptocurrencies for fiat currencies, Ternio will provide the technology on which the Litecoin BlockCard is based and the Litecoin Foundation will encourage the adoption of the payment card.
The Litecoin founder, Charlie Lee, said about the payment card:
This is a great collaboration for us because it promotes the mission of the Litecoin Foundation to create more use cases for the use of Litecoin in daily life.
Recently, the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase expanded its crypto payment card to six European countries . Users can use the card to pay directly from their wallet with, for example, bitcoin (BTC) , ethereum (ETH) and litecoin (LTC).
Probably partly as a result of the announcement of the Litecoin BlockCard, litecoin is a big plus. The altcoin currently has a value of $ 137.44 after rising by almost 2.14% in the last 24 hours. The market capitalization has doubled since April and is at the time of writing at $ 8.5 billion.
Analysts expect that with the upcoming halving in August the value of litecoin will rise even further. The altcoin is already one of the best performing altcoins at the moment, but Crypto Rand expects LTC to rise to $ 160.
