FromSoftware is working with George RR Martin on a new fantasy game

George RR Martin, author of the book series A Song of Ice and Fire and FromSoftware are working together on a fantasy game. This is evident from web pages of publisher Bandai Namco, who went online too early. Tales of Arise and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch also have web pages.

The pages were discovered by Gematsu. The game that Martin and FromSoftware are working on is called Elden Ring. The game is described as a fantasy action-rpg adventure set in a world created by From-leading Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin together. It would be the biggest game from FromSoftware so far. Furthermore, there is some artwork included, but there is no more information. Undoubtedly, more will be revealed at one of the press conferences in the context of the E3 game fair starting this weekend.

Tales of Arise is a new game in the Tales series, which consists of titles such as Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Berseria. This new jrpg runs in Unreal Engine 4 and again contains the “classic Tales gameplay”. The franchise has been around since 1995 and the many games have been released on virtually all platforms.

The last game Gematsu writes about is Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This game originally came out for the PS3 in 2011. It looks like the game will be re-released on the Nintendo Switch and that there will be a remaster on the PS4 and PC.

It is not yet clear when these games will be reviewed at E3. Bandai Namco does not hold a press conference itself, so these games are housed in other presentations. That can be that of Microsoft Xbox, on Sunday, or that of Nintendo on Tuesday. It is unlikely that they will come to another presentation, since they are from direct competition.
