According to PR Times Japan, DMM Bitcoin, which operates as a virtual currency exchange under the auspices of the DMM Group Japan, announced that it will begin handling the virtual currency Ripple (XRP) in physical transactions. It will start trading operations at 18:00 on July 10, 2019.
The Japanese company handles Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Nem (XEM), Ripple (XRP), Lightcoin (LTC), Ethereal Classic (ETC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Until now the only currencies available for fiat to crypto trading were Bitcoin (BTC / JPY) and Ethereum (ETH / JPY), and the others were leveraged trading only. This time, Ripple (XRP / JPY) is newly added, and 3 currencies can be traded from fiat to crypto and vice versa.
DMM.com changed the “Tokyo Bitcoin Exchange” to “DMM Bitcoin” in December 2017, and started trading services on the virtual currency trading site “DMM Bitcoin” on January 11, 2018. In December this year, it was reported that the company would withdraw from the mining business (calculation work required for new issue of virtual currency and transaction approval) due to the deterioration of earnings.
With the announcement of a new listing on DMM Bitcoin, there has been no significant change in the XRP price, which is currently at about $ 0.393, down -2.1% in the last 24 hours.
