From New York City, he’s become one of the city’s most influential artists as his work is appreciated and understood by the masses. Stout is so relatable you’ll even seen him around local clubs, art galleries and events frequently. To most people, part of the allure is his unapologetic, gritty, industrial pop style artwork which also can have an abrasive effect for the extremely light hearted.
Over his career, Marko Stout has built up a large fanbase with some big names collecting his art, such as Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen, The Pussycat Dolls’ lead singer Kaya Jones, RuPaul, MTV’s Snooki, the Kardashians, and some high-profile art collectors. Stout has even attracted the attention of art investors hoping to profit from the expected high demand of his artwork.
Stout is an experienced well cultured artist and he is taken very seriously creating artwork in a variety of forms including print, video, photography, painting, sculpture, film and modern contemporary styles, also known to use metal print in his artwork. Stout’s artistic expression has succeeded tenfold in attracting young enthusiastic art fans and celebrity art collectors worldwide.
The New York City artist is making quite the splash in the art industry. The popular art dealer Taylor Cohen said they’ve “not seen this kind of excitement for an opening since Jeff Koon’s retrospective at the Whiney Museum or the Basquiat exhibition.” Furthermore we’ve heard Catilyn Jenner, from ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians,’ talking extensively about the artist while in New York for Fashion Week 2018, saying she was “very excited for Marko Stout’s exhibition, his art is absolutely amazing!”
Stout comes from a very humble and modest beginning living on a houseboat in San Francisco Bay. The future world class artist often spent time with his neighbour who was an art gallery owner. Motivated by his friend, Stout made the push to start selling his artwork at his friend’s art gallery. However after Stout had started to gain traction with his work, devastation occurred when his friend overdosed on morphine turning his world upside down. Since then, Stout has worked his way up to becoming widely renowned for his artwork, beloved by many fans all over the world.
In September 2020, Marko Stout will be presenting the International Art & Film Festival in New York City. The event will be a spectacle for all those interested in modern art and film. A crowd of the world’s most prominent art dealers, collectors, curators and celebrities will be present, not to mention a huge group of talented film-makers, directors and producers.
Many think Marko Stout could be the next New York City legend like Jean-Michael Basquiat, Jeff Koons, or Andy Warhol.
