Animal Crossing New Horizons was postponed by Nintendo until March 20, 2020. Nintendo announced this during its Direct stream. The Nintendo Switch game would actually arrive this year. The company did show new images of the game on Tuesday.
Why the newest part of Animal Crossing has been postponed to March next year, Nintendo did not know. During the stream, Nintendo only said the game was postponed so that it could be “as good as possible.”
In Animal Crossing New Horizons, players go to an uninhabited island, where they only have a tent for shelter at the start. The game adds a crafting system, among other things, which gives players the opportunity to build furniture. Furthermore, just like in the previous parts, the player can use various tools to cut trees, catch fish and water the crops. Also in this part the player does not escape the creditor Tom Nook, who comes to ask the player every so often to settle his debt.
Nintendo already announced last year during its Direct-stream in September that a new Animal Crossing game would be coming. The last game in the main series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, was released on June 14, 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.
