“Amazon is working on a new music service focused on quality”

Amazon is in talks with various music companies about the launch of a new platform focused on hi-fi audio streaming.

According to Music Business Worldwide, a major record company has already committed to join the new service from Amazon. According to rumors, the service should appear at the end of this year for a monthly fee of around $ 15 a month.

Amazon wants to compete with Spotify and Apple Music with the advantage of offering high-end hi-fi quality. The new service focuses primarily on audiophiles with improved quality.

Competitor Tidal does have a higher quality, this concerns the CD quality 44.1 kHz / 16 bit. Tidal sells the subscriptions for $ 19.99 a month.
